Colon Cancer Surgeon in Pittsburgh Pioneers a Breakthrough Colon Cancer Treatment Pittsburgh, PA (MMD Newswire) August 12, 2009 - Dr. David Blumberg, a colon cancer surgeon at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center has refined a laparoscopic colon surgery technique that allows 95-98% of patients to undergo successful major colon cancer surgery via small incisions no greater than 1-2 inches.
