With Yuvraj Singh being ruled out of the Champions trophy earlier today, India now really has big problems ahead to solve. Yuvraj's absense will do nothing but make a deep hole in India's middle order, here's why...
Yuvraj Singh, India's one of the most explosive batsman, today, suffered a injury in his right finger while a regular feilding practice session. Later, the injury was confirmed to be a fracture, implying a whopping 6-week break from the game. Yuvraj's resposiblity of the deputy to MSD, has been handed over to Gautam Gambhir, who recently sworn in as the full-time skipper of the IPL's Delhi Daredevils team. Interestingly, Gambhir too is serving a groin injury. But, if he himself is to believed, he'd be fit by the time India play there first game, as he quoted. Virat Kohli, the former under-19 captain, will replace Yuvraj and will fly the protea-land asap. Meanwhile, the already suffering Indian middle-order, now has more problems, the only batsmen to replace Yuvraj are Dinesh Karthik and Virat Kohli; considering the present form of the both replacable batsmen, their fate lies only with luck. India already had injury problems, with Virender Sehwag already out of the tournament. They now will play without two of their best batsmen, both of whom are already featuring on the ICC Reliance ODI players rankings with Yuvraj at world # 2 and Sehwag at world # 9.
