With no clues about the statistics of the first quake on January 12, 2010, Haiti was again jolted by an aftershock of 6.1 on Richter-scale. Haiti was kinda starting to have some happy moments earlier today after a three-year old girl and a sixty-nine year old lady were rescued alive from rubble of  Jan 12 shock.

The Aftershock today that thrilled locals at 6:03 a.m. (local time) was, according to the U.S. Geological survey, centered at around 35 miles (60 kilometres) west-southwest of Port-au-Prince and 6.2 miles (9.9 kilometres) below the surface — a little further from the capital than last week's epicentre was. Though it was not the first aftershock, it was the largest of more than 40 significant aftershocks that have followed the Jan 12 quake.

Today’s quake help collapse the already weak buildings, shaking more rubble from damaged buildings and sending screaming people running into the streets. Although the extent of additional damage or injuries was not immediately clear.

The relief aid is what Haiti requires desperately now. Though some relief has already reached the country, Haiti Prime Minister said that there were no trucks to transport nor they had any base-camps for thorough distribution. The World Food Program said more than 250,000 ready-to-eat food rations had been distributed in Haiti by Tuesday, reaching only a fraction of the 3 million people thought to be in desperate need.

The complete facts to Jan 12 shock are yet to be known, but, officials claim that up to 200,000 have feared dead and three million have been affected.
